Aniimo Resources: Do Not Waste Resonance, Astranite, IP or AP
Do not feed all early materials into your first Aniimo. Understand Resonance, Astranite, innate potential (IP), and acquired potential (AP) before committing scarce launch resources.
Treat early Resonance and Astranite as limited until you have tested your team. Keep IP (innate potential) separate from AP (acquired potential): one describes what an Aniimo begins with, while the other is developed through play systems.
IP vs AP: The First Distinction to Learn
IP is the innate side of an Aniimo—the starting potential you evaluate when you obtain it. AP is the acquired/developed side. Do not assume that a high-looking label in one system automatically replaces the other.
The practical lesson is simple: do not rush a permanent judgment from the first Aniimo you catch. Learn what each screen says, test its role, and compare it with future finds before committing rare materials.
This guide is written for the launch version. Do not use beta-era guides as proof: systems and account flows may have changed. Recheck the current in-game notice and official FAQ after every update.
A Safe Spending Order for Resonance and Astranite
First, spend only enough to keep the main story and your current encounters comfortable. Second, identify the three jobs your roster must cover: damage, Break, and sustain. Third, make deeper investments only after an Aniimo has earned a stable place in that plan.
Use a pause rule for any scarce upgrade: wait until after at least one more play session or one more comparison catch. The delay costs little and protects you from investing entirely by first-impression hype.
- ✦Spend for progress, not because a red dot demands it.
- ✦Do not max the first ordinary-potential Aniimo by default.
- ✦Check current in-game descriptions before any reset/refund assumption.
The Four Expensive Launch Mistakes
Skipping account linking, spending Glimmer on impulse, throwing premium Aniipods at ordinary encounters, and maxing the first unproven Aniimo all have the same cure: pause long enough to confirm what you are protecting.
A material held for a day is not wasted. A material placed into the wrong account, server, encounter, or build can be much harder to recover.

Fast solutions to common onboarding hurdles
IP refers to innate potential and AP to acquired/developed potential. Read the current in-game screen for their exact effects; the key is not to treat them as interchangeable.
