Aniimo Quest Stuck After a Patch
If an Aniimo story objective will not complete after a patch—terrain clip, Sanctum wipe, or a named hunt—update first, capture the quest name and build, then use F10. Do not reroll the account.
Install the current client, write the exact quest name and your build number, then try a relog on the same character. If a story hunt such as Trail of Butterfly Shadows or a Sanctum run still will not advance, use any official Unstuck control if the UI shows one, then send F10 evidence. Creating a new Aniimo Pass does not skip a blocked objective.
Name the Quest Before You Blame the Patch
“Stuck” is three different reports: a terrain clip, a UI that will not accept the next prompt, or a party instance that will not release you.
Write the quest title exactly as the tracker shows it. Mid-September 2026 community reports name Trail of Butterfly Shadows for a terrain softlock, a two-player Sanctum that would not accept Unstuck, and overlapping story UI text. Those names help support; a screenshot of “I am stuck” does not.
Update the client first. If a later hotfix already lists that quest, you may only need the new build. If the live Steam news post does not name it, still send the build number—do not wait for a content site to declare “fixed” or “not fixed.”
This guide is written for the launch version. Do not use beta-era guides as proof: systems and account flows may have changed. Recheck the current in-game notice and official FAQ after every update.
Reversible Steps That Do Not Touch the Account
1) Confirm the update finished. 2) Relog on the same character and server. 3) If the UI offers Unstuck, Return, or a Sanctum leave prompt, use that once. 4) If a second player is in the instance, have one person leave and rejoin after the first is stable. 5) Take a screenshot of the quest tracker, the map pin, and Settings → version.
Do not delete local files, change servers, or register a new email to “get past” the objective. A story wall on one identity stays on that identity; a second Pass just splits your evidence.
- ✦Quest name + build number + map pin in every report.
- ✦Use F10 where the client offers it.
- ✦One Unstuck attempt, then evidence—do not mash it.
If the Objective Still Will Not Complete
Play a different live objective if the tracker allows it, and come back after the next official update. If the blocked quest is the only story gate, stop spending scarce items on that pin and wait for support or a hotfix. A content site saying “patched on this build” is useful only after your Settings version matches that build and the objective actually completes.
If the same update also shows a red overlay or a crash, file that as a separate display/crash report. Mixing a softlock and a renderer bug in one sentence makes both harder to reproduce.

Fast solutions to common onboarding hurdles
Check your installed version against the current Steam news post, then test the live objective once. This page will not mark a community-named quest “fixed” without that first-party note plus a matching client.
